TIPS for SELF CARE

Your skin takes care of itself. Take in only natural and healthy nurturing. The shorter the road from the fields to your plate is, the better.

The purer the ingredients are, the better.

We usually use many self care products that are not really necessary. We can listen to our own inner wisdom and know from there that we can live much cheaper and healthier, while saving the environment! Scientific tests have shown that very unhealthy substances were found inside homes, coming from (fragranced) products for self-care, perfumes and more. The tests even showed that, what we use inside our houses, is worse for our health and the environment than exhaust fumes from traffic and smoke from factories, cigarets and so on. Since we are more indoor than out door, we can help ourselves and one another by detoxing our homes and the way we care for our selves and our houses.

Everything we write here, will be easy to apply by anyone. If you incorporate one tip or trick every week, that would lead yearly to 52 chances for a better and cheaper life.

Here are the easiest and cheapest tips & tricks for self care.

1. BUY cleaning vinegar, cleaning soda, baking soda, coconut oil, and  diswash liquid of the brand KLOK. Search online for the cheapest. Note: cleaning vinegar is not suitable for internal body use, only for cleaning!

2. Wash your HAIR a day later than you are used to. Wet your hair, wash it with some (diluted or like 2-3 drops) KLOK dishwash, rinse; put a table spoon cleaning vinegar in 500 ml water and rinse your hair. It will not only keep the colour better, it will be softer, and you'll be able to comb your hair easily. When you are used to lesser and lesser hair washing, you could use lesser and lesser dishwash and in the end only rinse with vinegar the water. If you like to make your hair more greasy, use a tiny little bit of coconut oil. If you like to experiment: you can dry wash your hair with baking soda (it bleaches as well); wash your hair with lemon juice or camomile tea in summer for extra blond hair; use coffee grounds for browner hair; beer, egg, and so on, all good for your hair. In the end you only need water to wash your hair. But if you love to wash it, you can do so as suggested above.

3. Never use soap on your SKIN, unless you have to. In case you need to use soap, take a bit of the KLOK dishwash (you could dilute it with water). If you have dry hands or skin, use coconut oil. Better: drink enough (filtered or distilled) drinking water, skip coffee and most other drinks. Eat daily some healthy oils (like in nuts or seeds) and some fruit for your skin. Only use water on your skin. Of you need to clean your face: use coconut oil and a handkerchief (or some cotton wool/ toilet paper).

4. For DEODORANT, use nothing, or spray 10x diluted cleaning vinegar, or put baking soda in warmed coconut oil and use it as deo, or simply whip some baking soda powder under your armpits.

5. Your TEETH, brush them with baking soda, gives the cleanest feeling and also whitens. Or use salt to brush your teeth. If you like put baking soda in some coconut oil, that is nice for your gums. Add some peppermint essential oil in case you like the peppermint taste.

Your house needs to be clean. That feels nice, looks nice and is healthy. Use only natural and healthy cleaning products. NOTE: most people are indoor most of the day. Scientific tests have shown that very unhealthy substances were found inside homes, coming from (fragranced) products for cleaning, incense and more. The tests even showed that, what we use inside our houses, is worse or equally bad for our health and the environment than exhaust fumes from traffic and smoke from factories, cigarets and so on. Since we are more indoor than out door, we can help ourselves and one another by detoxing our homes and the way we care for our selves and our houses.

The purer we live, the better. The simpler the ingredients are, the better.
